Barnstable Village
As a distinct entity within the Town of Barnstable , this village is actually the County seat for Barnstable County . It is sited on historic Route 6A and is the home to many notable architecturally significant homes, and charming gift and antique shops. A busy village center hosts seasonal events, and continues the tradition of the small New England town, while being only minutes from major shopping in Hyannis .
