Everyone is entitled to 1 FREE credit report per year, with the credit score. Go to www.annualcreditreport.com, the authorized website for the government mandated free report. Be very careful not to go to sites that charge you or may take your confidential information.

DON’T MAKE A MAJOR PURCHASE

Don’t buy a new car, furniture or obligate yourself to any major credit purchases UNTIL at least the day after you have actually "closed” on your home. One major purchase may disqualify you for your mortgage!
